Summer is here, which means it’s time to get out and get some sun. It is also a good time to be aware of and proactive about proper skin care. The incidence of Melanoma has kept increasing for the last 30 years even though we have greater awareness. Both UVA and UVB rays are dangerous to the skin, and can induce skin cancer. Blistering sunburns in early childhood especially increases the risk, but sunburns later in life and cumulative exposure also may be factors.

Peyronie's Surgery Options

Posted by Men's Health Restoration Team on Sep 8, 2016 10:21:51 AM

Peyronie's Disease is a medical condition where the curvature of the penis occurs.  Some men recover from Peyronie's spontaneously, where the curvature reverses on its own.  So, peyronie's surgery isn't typically recommended unless patients have tried non-surgical therapies and failed, if the curvature has persisted for 12 months or more, or if the curvature interferes with sexual penetration. The four Peyronie's surgery options are plication, tunical-shortening, grafting and penile prosthesis. Before undergoing these procedure, its best to discuss with your physician what are reasonable expectations as a result of the procedure.

What are the Risks of an ED Pump?

Posted by Men's Health Restoration Team on Aug 3, 2016 11:00:00 AM

An ED Pump is a vacuum constriction device used as a treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). They have been used for many years and are quite effective, but the rise of effective oral ED medications has lead to a decline in their popularity.  Part of this may be that the devices are somewhat awkward to use, making them the choice for individuals in long-term relationships.  The side effects from using a penis pump are quite limited, and are often less than procedures or medications.

What Is a Penile Pump?

A penile pump or a vacuum constriction device is a non-surgical treatment option for erectile dysfunction (ED). Horny Goat Weed and Erectile Dysfunction - Is it a Herbal Viagra?

Horny Goat Weed | Erectile Dysfunction History

Horny Goat Weed allegedly got its name from goat farmers who noticed that their herd would become notably 'frisky' after eating the weed. We have no idea if that's true, but we've checked out the research on some of the other claims surrounding this herb.  It comes from the plant genus epimedium and has been used in traditional Chinese medications for 1,000 years.  It grows naturally in both China and Korea. In the US, it is a supplement sold over the counter as tablet, capsule, powder or tea and is not regulated by FDA.  The supplements containing epimedium typically are targeted as an herbal remedy for ED, low libido, fatigue and pain (creating the horny goat weed / ED linkage). It may also be advertised as testosterone booster as was supported in one rat study.

But how much of this is actually true and supported by scientific research?
